Fun With My Cousins

Sean and I keep saying that we need to hang out more with Sean's cousins, especially the ones who live so close. Over the last few weeks we have been seeing a lot of them. Actually for the last three weekends I think we have gone up to Orange County every weekend!

Three weekends ago (July 16th) we went up to San Clemente to see Cord Tisdale being dedicated. Cord Tisdale is Sean's cousin's (Angie Tisdale - a Cornwell) son. He was almost one, and in her denomination you dedicate your child to Heavenly Father and put all your trust in Him to take care of your child. It was a very sentimental and very heartwarming event and day and we were so happy to be able to share in John and Angie's Happy Day.

The following weekend (July 23rd) we went up to San Clemente again for Cord's First Birthday. It was one of the cutest first birthdays I have ever seen! The whole theme was sharks, which I thought was an interesting theme for a 1 year old bday but it was the cutest thing ever!

The watermelon and melon were cute out like sharks, the cupcake had little shark fins on them, and there were adorable little shark party prizes. They had the party be in the morning and by the pool. This meant you showed up for breakfast which was fun, and the kids were in the pool before the sun got too hot....brilliant! We had so much fun talking to even more cousins; Kati and Ian, and Nicole and David.

Then this weekend (July 30th) we went up to Ladera Ranch to visit Kati and Ian, and help set everything up for the nursery. Sean and Ian worked on book shelves while Kati and I made pillows. The last time I made a pillow was in 2004 and Kati had never made one before. It took us a while to get going, but it was a lot of fun and we got 8 pillows made! So excited and so happy about how much lighter the living room looks now. We then had paninis and watched Iron Man II! Which got us even more excited to watch Thor and Captain America!

These last few weekends have been great and it make me a little sad that we don't have another weekend planned with the Orange County cousin's until August 27th :(
