Chopped, Cornwell Style

Liz and I LOVE the Cooking Channel, we love everything about it.  One of our favorite shows is Chopped.  Liz decided that we were going to bring the show Chopped into our family this year.

We had three teams, 1 - Joel and myself, 2 - Sean, Julia, and Jeff, 3 - Amanda, Livy, and Nikki.

AND yes you are right, my team was the only two person team.  It is ok, it worked out we might have had too many ideas running through our group that way.

The three ingredients that we had are, chocolate pudding mix, cuties, and graham crackers.

I thought we would have come up with three items that were very similar, but not at all.

Team 1 had a chocolate and graham cracker cookie with an essence of cutie served with vanilla ice-cream - we call it "A Sunbathing Snow Man".

Team 2 had a chocolate and cutie pudding with a creamcheese and cutie cream and a graham cracker covered in chocolate.

Team 3 had a chocolate cheese cake with cutie zest.

Overall it was a lot of fun, and I think I might have a new recipe.

Oh and none of use used any cake mixes, I am proud.

Below is our recipe that we made for our cookies.

1.5 cups of flour
1 cup of crushed graham cracker
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of butter (room temperature)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
4 ounces of Jello Instant Pudding Mix
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
Zest from three cuties
Juice from two cuties
1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat your oven to 375F
Combine in a bowl flour, graham cracker and baking soda.
Cream together sugar, pudding mix, vanilla and butter.
Add eggs to the creamed sugar mixture.
Slowly add the flour mixture to the creamed sugar mixture.
Add cutie zest and juice.
Add chocolate chips.

Place 1 tsp sized balls on a greased cookie sheet.  Bake 8-10 minutes.  Let the cookies sit for about 5 minutes then remove from the cookie sheet.

AND ENJOY
