Christmas Tree & Christmas Branch

It is finally December, which means I could start decorating for the holidays.  Even though this is our second Christmas we have never had a Christmas tree because we were not home during the holidays last year.  That being said, putting up our first Christmas tree was a big deal in our home.  We first had to come to a decision on if we were going to have a real tree or a fake tree.  In the end we decided on getting a real tree.  Once we have children having a fake tree will make more sense :)

Sean got so excited about the tree that he had to pick a new decoration for the tree.  We talked about this decoration for about 30 minutes before he finally decided that it was not a platypus or a duck or a hipo, but a monkey :)  Oh how I love the childish side of my husband.

We brought a tradition into our home from Denmark.  In Denmark some homes started putting up Christmas Branches.  We decided that the Li Bien ornaments that we get from Pier1 every year would keep these ornaments so that you can see them.

When you put it all together I think our home is looking very much like Christmas! :)
